Maximizing ibadat in the last ten days of Ramadan: Its hard to register that the most awaited month of the year is drawing to a close. First 20 days of Ramadan have passed , all deeds good or bad have been written. It should be understood that this is the parting of Ramadan.
All the time wasted or put to good use has been registered. What time that has gone can’t be undone. But we still have the asharah of seeking forgiveness almost upon us, WE STILL CAN MAKE THAT COUNT. The last ten most blessed days of Ramadan can be tried to spend in such a way that we are left with no regrets. The time has come to put in more effort into your Ibadah. There is still time for those of you who have been careless in the past 20 days to makeup and reap the benefits of these days.
How To Spend The Last Ten Days of Ramadan?
We still have time to strengthen our relationship with Quran and Allah, to wipe the slate clean which we have blackened with our numerous sins.
There is still time to redeem ourselves and to gain the mercy of Allah and ask for His forgiveness.
If we miss on making the best out of these 10 days, we will surely regret it. You never know whether the next Ramadan is destined for you or not.
What Is So Special About These Last Ten Days?
These last 10 days hold countless benefits. We have been given a chance yet again to gain the immense number of blessings. Why are these days so special?
When is Laylatul Qadr?
A night worth more than a 1000 months, the most auspicious night of the year. Also known as the Night of Power in the Quran. Any action done on this night is better than acting for one thousand months which do not contain the night of Qadr. The reward of this night is immense.
There is certainly wisdom as to why the date has not been specified. So we can try to seek His blessings throughout and till the end of Ramadan.
What Was the Practice Of The Prophet During The Last 10 Days?
Aisha reported that with the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work hard), pray all night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers. [Bukhari]
What Is To Be Done During The Last 10 Days?
8. I’tikaf
It was one of the major Sunnahs of the Prophet. For men I’tikaf should be in the mosque but for women at home generally where they pray. If it is not possible to remain in I’tikaf for all 10 days than at least for 3 days. Duration of I’tikaf is a minimum of 3 consecutive days.
