Allah Almighty has given us a solution to all our problems and rizq of course is one of those. We all desire for expansion and blessings on the other hand we are unaware of the purposes which are lying behind the extension of sustenance in the light of the Quran and Hadith.
Allah has written a rizq for every person. But certain acts can help us increase sustenance or get out of any hardships that we may have landed ourselves in.
How to Increase Rizq in Islam?
In our last post, we talked about 8 Duas to Increase Rizq & Wealth from the Quran & Sunnah. But today we’ll be focusing on certain acts or rather keys that can help us increase our rizq:
↓ 16 – Performing Prayers (Namaz) with Khushu and khuzoo
Offering the prayers calmly, comfortably, and regularly, praying in congregation, opens the doors of sustenance.
Allah Subhan o Ta’allah says:
Surah Ta-ha (Ayah 132)
Offer your kin to ask with the help of salah, and be constant in ˹observing˺ it. We don’t request that you give. It is we who accommodate you.
Furthermore, a definitive result is ˹only˺ for ˹the individuals of˺ honorableness. Here are 6 Tips To Get In Habit Of Praying Namaz Regularly.
↓ 15 – Invocation by saying Astaghfirullah
The full sentence is
There was one scholar who used to give everybody the same wazeefa for every difficulty people are facing in this world. One of his students asked him, “ why you give astaghfirullah to many persons even they don’t have the same problem. He said This is not me who is giving.
In Surah Nuh, Allah said,
Surah Nuh (Ayah 10)
So say, Apologies from Your Allah, Surely Allah is all-forgiving.
Surah Nuh (Ayah 11)
He will send upon you the abundant rain,
Surah Nuh (Ayah 12)
And Allah will help you with wealth, children(Sons) and will make for you the gardens and rivers.
In all of these verses, it looks like Allah is promising to bless a person with the rain, gardens, wealth, children if they will supplicate with the sincerity of his heart so we all should include saying Astaghfirullah at least 200 times daily.
↓ 14 – Do Charity – Spend for the sake of Allah
Allah says in the Quran “Whatever you spend in the way of Allah, Allah will repay you for it. Allah will multiply it as much as a man spends on others.
Surah Saba (Ayah 39)
Say, ˹O Prophet, ˺ “Doubtlessly ˹it is˺ my Master ˹Who˺ gives plentiful or restricted arrangements to whoever He wills of His workers. Also, whatever you spend on the cause, He will remunerate ˹you˺ for it. For He is the Best Supplier.”
If Allah is providing you more than your needs then there is a percentage of poor in it. If a person will collect the money and keep on counting it then surely Allah will decrease his money. Here are Islamic Quotes on Charity.
↓ 13 – Increase Taqwa
To be more conscious in the following shariah accordingly
“Taqwa” is the name of following the order of Allah and consequently preventing from the things that are doubtful in religion.
Surah Al-A’raf (Ayah 96)
Had the people of those societies been faithful and mindful ˹of Allah˺, We would have overwhelmed them with blessings from heaven and earth. But they disbelieved, so We seized them for what they used to commit.
When a person is muttaqi, Allah gives him from the means he never imagined.
whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make a way out for them,
Surah Al-Talaq (Ayah 3)
and provide for them from sources they could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He ˹alone˺ is sufficient for them. Certainly, Allah achieves His Will. Allah has already set a destiny for everything.
↓ 12 – Increase Ibadah
The fifth key is revering Allah It is described by Hazrat Ayesha (R A) that Prophet Muhammad ( صلى الله) used to prolong his supplication an excessive amount of that even his feet became swollen to the level He can’t move. Allah shuts the entryway of difficulty on the individuals who entertain themselves with Ibadah however much as could be expected.
It is described in Hadith
Abu Hurairah portrayed that the Courier of Allah (s.a.w) said: “Undoubtedly Allah, Most High said: ‘O child of Adam! Commit yourself to my love, I will fill your chest with wealth and lighten your destitution. What’s more, in the event that you don’t do as such, I will fill your hands with issues and not mitigate your destitution.’
↓ 11 – Performing Hajj & Umrah
Performing Hajj and Umrah excuses sins, yet in addition, eliminates destitution from a man with the endowments of both. A considerable lot of the issues of our day-by-day life that can’t be dealt with by us are tackled by playing out the Umrah and Hajj.
It is described in Hadith
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Do Hajj and ‘Umrah one after the other. Indeed, the two of them (for example Hajj and Umrah) eliminate destitution and sins similarly that a heater eliminates the residue of iron and gold and silver. Only Allah knows.
The individuals who are honored by Allah, perform Hajj as often as possible and perform Umrah, not once per year.
Do Umrah , Perform Umrah consistently. May Allah assist us with visiting his city more than once. Here are the Best Things That You Must Do In Makkah.
↓ 10 – Treat relatives with good manners
Some people are feeble as far as good. Allah loves to treat them generously. Allah is kind to the people who are kind to others.
It is described on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (harmony and gifts of Allaah arrive) said: “Whoever wants plentiful food and life span, he should treat his family members well.”
↓ 9 – Be merciful to the weak
The eighth key is to accommodate the feeble. Allah loves to share the pain of poor people. There are a few groups that when they swear for the sake of Allah, Allah will turn out to be sufficient for them
The Prophet (harmony and favors of Allah arrive) said: Whoever needs to be liberal in his arrangement, he should make a lenient prize. (Bukhari)
↓ 8 – Always trust Allah
Whoever believes that Allah will give, Allah will surely give it to him, and whoever doubts, he will be troubled.
Tawakkul is the condition of the person like a child has on his parents that they throw him in the sky while playing since a child has no fear of falling because he knows that his parents will catch him.
If we have trust in Allah then he will help us in every difficult situation.
The Prophet Muhammad said: If you trust in Allah as the manner in which Allah worth to be believed then you ought to be accommodated similarly as birds are accommodated. They go out on a vacant stomach in the first part of the day and return in the evening with a full stomach.
(Musnad Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)

↓ 7 – Always be thankful
The more the person is thankful the more he is rewarded and the doors of livelihood call that person.
In the Light of the Quran Allah almighty say’s:
Surah IBRAHIM (Ayah 7)
‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more. But if you are ungrateful, surely my punishment is severe.’”
↓ 6 – SMILE while entering home and volunteering to say salam
It is also Sunnah to enter with a smile. The Prophet said that If you don’t have anything to do charity then give a smile and smile is also a charity.
Abu Dawud (2494), Al-Bukhari (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad) (1094), and Ibn Hiban (499)
Allah become guaranter of 3 persons to let them enter into Jannah if they die and Increase their wealth if they live . These 3 persons are
- A person who when enters into his house say Assalamoalaikum wa rahmat ullah wa barakatullah
- The person who goes for mosque
- The person who goes in the way of Allah (Sunan Abi Dawood Volume 3, Book of Hadith No. 5193)
An explanation of this hadith, it is said that we should say salam in a louder voice when entering the house even if nobody answers.
↓ 5 – Be obedient to your parents
It is reported by Hazrat Anas(R A) that Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said that person who loved to get expansion in His sustenance, he should treat his parents with kindness.
It is one of the Kabeera sins not to be obedient to Parents. The Kabeera sins are those that a person has to undergo some of the penalty in this world to let that sin be worth of forgiveness on the Day of Judgement.
↓ 4 – Focus on staying clean and pure
Staying all the time in Wuzu increases the wealth and brings Barakat’s with it. Here’s a complete guide on How To Perform Wudu (Ablution) & Islamic Quotes on Wudu.
↓ 3 – Pray Salah of chasht
The eleventh key is the Salah of Chasht.
The time for Chasht prayers begins approximately two hours after the sunrise. The best time for Chasht these days is at 10 o’clock. There are a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 rak’ats of Chasht prayers.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer four rak’ahs of the Chasht prayer moreover he used to offer more than Allah would help him.
↓ 2 – Recite Surah Waqia’h daily
The person who recites Surah Waqia’h after Maghrib Prayers daily, undoubtedly will never starve ever
↓ 1 – Pray to Allah
The power of prayer can even change the fate of the person.
Is not Allah there who answers him when he invokes in distress?
The DOA coming from the heart is certainly directed towards Allah without any curtains. It does not have wings but it does have the power of wings to reach Allah so we should always beg in front of Allah like the child is asking from Mother consistently. Hazrat Shah Hakeem Akhtar said that every impossible condition will become possible if the four names of Allah ya Ghafoor, Ya Wadoodu, Ya suboohu, YA Qudoosu are recited 7 times with Darood Shareef before and after in the supplication.
The only condition is that the person is diligent at the time of Dooa.
Finally, we must remember that life is not only about earning rizq but about improving our aakhirah. While Islam teaches us to earn a halal rizq and fulfill our responsibilities towards our family, we must not get caught up in the vicious cycle of earning as there will always be bills to pay, there will always be a bigger house and a bigger car to buy and there will always be someone who is more successful than us.
So while we should do our best to provide our families, we should also learn to be thankful for what Allah has provided us with and work towards earning His forgiveness and Jannah. May Allah answer all your prayers and grant you sustenance.
Thank you very much Zoya. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala reward you in this life and the Next From Nasiru Shehu.
